Featuring no guitar
and the unmitigated dub mixes only Myles Boisen can
finger. 3 talented musicians, one dodgy singer, and plenty of analog goodness. |

1.
Stella's
Just Another Word For Baby
|
Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Myles Boisen.
|
Unexpected release from the final awkward rocker lineup. After months of back-and-forth, dylan and matt pressed the 'LAUNCH' button and the Laboratory of the Inevitable managed to spit out one more playful collection in the tradition of 'headphone music' vols 1 & 2. |

Edge
Of Town

Mastering by M.B. Recorded by The Woodsmen.

Featuring the funky rompings of Jim F. on drums, and the bass-heavy, analog mixes of Myles B. The raging "Locked Out" is the fierce counterpoint on this predominantly soulful, burning album. |

Sophomore album, produced and recorded by Andy Z. The Woodsmen spared no expense in the creation of this car- eening juggernaut. Every song gets the full Andy Z. treatment of thickly nuanced, textured sound. Cavernous drums, piano, synth, strings, horns, organ, guitar, dozens of amplifiers- its all in there! The destructive "Top of the Hill" and the sensitive "Not Know" are the north and south poles of this album, with "Ride in my Car" as the standout single. |

1. Peasants Of Sumeria

Produced and recorded by Andy Zenczak at Gadgetbox Studios. Mastering by Myles Boisen at The Headless Buddha Mastering Lab. |

The 3rd and most premeditated of the Lab recordings. Concise and simple songs for picnics or fighting the war on terror. |

Rock Meets Santa Cruz Soul in this debut effort from the chaps who wouldn't say 'when'. Hefty pounding from J. Nelson on drums supports a guitar- heavy sound with plenty of bass and keys. The mood varies from the all-out mayhem of "Picnic Queens & Kings" to the soul anthem "Feel You Sighing" and the melancholy confessional "Meet You At The Stairwell". |

Back in Ridgetop Studios, this curious collection of songs features the sparse "Axis", the shy and funky "Berkeley", the brazen "Chicago", & the dense, foreboding "Time of Your Arrival". This would be the last album with the young gorilla J. Nelson on drums. |
|
1. Axis 2. Berkeley 3. Chicago 4. Time of your Arrival 5. Ohio

The Woodsmen team up with engineer Myles Boisen for a live-in-the-studio, jazzy analog album. With guitarist Chris F. and plenty of funky Rhodes by J. Lackey. |

1st Laboratory of the Inev- itable project: this Woodsmen home recording is a stylistic departure from their previous albums. Upfull and stimulating, sultry and sad, Fancy Bread is in its own world- an addictive confection and a favorite of many Woodsmen fans. |

The 2nd Lab project: moody and inquisitive, this is the product of a troubled mind. Featuring the morose "Happy Birthday", & the saddest whale solo ever on "Autumn Clover". |

While they waited for A.D. to be completed, The Woodsmen went to a local studio in the mountains and teamed up with engineer Tim Prince to record an all-live project. The album consists mainly of renditions of material from B.H. and A.D.- except for Woodsmen rarities "Hercules", "Don't Fly Away", and "Think". Recorded in a single afternoon, Ridgetop has an anxious, imperative feel and an uncluttered lineup of only grand piano, bass, drums and vocals. |
